HAVE YOU BEEN DIAGNOSED WITH MELANOMA
Although I'm not an expert I thought I would add some interesting info that might help you just like it did me. Hopefully I can make it a bit easier for you. Remember what happens in that persons journey doesn't mean it will happen to you. Everyone is different.
Positive mind is a powerful tool to have. I make sure I always surround myself with positive people.
I read a story about a man who was told his cancer was terminal and the tumors in his body were inoperable. He then went on a diet of only carrot juice everyday, literally flooded his body; well after 6 months his tumors had shrunk with some even completely gone, I have taken that on board now in my fight against melanoma and have had carrot juice and anything else I can put in the juicer everyday since I was diagnosed 2 and a half years ago. I go through 20kg of carrots every 3 weeks. So far so good.
Some of the good stuff!

BENEFITS OF VITAMIN D3
Vitamin D3 – An Essential Part of Healing
To heal cancer, you have to elevate the Vitamin D level in your
blood and keep it high forever. This statement is well
documented in research, most of it done since 2004. Dr. William
Grant, Ph.D. has researched Vitamin D and cancer for many
years and published dozens of scientific papers on it. In a radio
interview in 2010, he gave Bill some advice to pass on to all
patients with cancer:
Ø First, assume you are deficient in Vitamin D. A full 95% of
the world’s population is deficient in it. We don’t get
enough sun.
Ø An adequate level of this hormone (it’s really not a
“vitamin”) is essential to recover from cancer and keep it
from recurring.
Ø To get your blood’s Vitamin D to an adequate level, you
have to take a high dose (much more than is in the Daily
Advantage) for at least 5 or 6 weeks.
Ø An appropriate amount to take immediately is 25,000 I.U.
per day.
Ø As soon as possible, get your Vitamin D level checked.
Any doctor can order the simple blood test. It is called the
“25 (OH)D” test or the “25 Hydroxy Vitamin D” test. The
result will be a number from zero to 100.
Ø Your results from that first blood test will almost always be
in the low 20’s or 30’s. To recover from cancer, it must
be brought up to 70 or higher and maintained there. To
raise it to that level will usually take several weeks at the
elevated dosage above.
Ø At that point, get another of the 25 (OH)D tests. If the
result comes back at 70 or higher, you can back off to a
maintenance dose of 10,000 I.U. per day. This will keep
it there.
Ø The only appropriate form of Vitamin D supplementation is
Vitamin D3, which is sold over-the-counter.
Ø There are many online sources of Vitamin D3, which are
all quite inexpensive. The gelcaps come in a 5,000 I.U.
and 10,000 I.U. dose per gelcap. Both are available at
http://PuritansPride.com. Try to find it in the gelcap form.
[A word about oils supplements (Vitamin A, D, E, K,
CoQ10) in general including a liquid or powder form of D3:
The technology to convert natural oils into synthetic
powders is available. However, the human body will not
reconstitute the powder back into a natural oil since most
biochemical reactions can only add water. Thus we tell
people that if a powder vitamin contains any of these
oils, at best it is poorly formulated, at worst it is total
junk. But don’t take our word for it; try this: Take a
multivitamin, say One a Day, and place it in glass of water
(about 4 ounces) when you go to bed. In the morning, it
will be intact. Do you think that is a good easily
dissolvable, nutritiously available product? We don’t!]
Ø Dr. Navarro has warned users of his HCG Urine Test (see
below) to discontinue taking the Vitamin D3 three days
before you take the urine sample. Apparently, the fact that
it is a hormone can interfere with that test.

Beating Melanoma With Determination and A Tough Regime
The following is the first positive article I read about a lady who beat stage 4 Melanoma.
Ginny Fraser, 45, lives in London and works as a personal development facilitator, running courses round the world in places as diverse as Siberia, Israel and Brazil. She recently wrote her first book on healing the emotional side of infertility and childlessness.
Her work has been disrupted recently by a tough regime to beat cancer but she remains upbeat and positive as she tells her story.
"I was sweeping the leaves in the beautiful Findhorn gardens when I was overcome with fatigue and simply couldn't continue. It was the third day running I had found my chores just too exhausting. I knew something was wrong - I could no longer wear my contact lenses and one eye was almost closing. The doctors had diagnosed an autoimmune disorder (myasthenia gravis), but that didn't account for why I was feeling so exhausted.
The tiredness was really interfering with my plans. I had just rented out my house in London, given up my city life as a facilitator and coach and headed for Findhorn, a well-established community in the north of Scotland, where I wanted to experiment with communal living away from the smoke and hassle of the city.
After three weeks, I'd had enough. I just wasn't myself. I was perpetually tired, my vision was decidedly squiffy, and emotionally I was anxious and withdrawn. I reclaimed my house and began trying to find out what was wrong. The myasthenia gravis medication just wasn't working and my symptoms were getting worse.
One thing that had always been vaguely at the back of my mind was the possibility of cancer. I had had two bouts of melanoma: the primary was a mole on my arm back in 1993, which I briskly had excised (along with a chunk of my arm) and then got on with my life without really any introspection about why I had got cancer and what I could do to make sure it didn't come back. Then three years later a tumour was found in the lymph nodes under my right arm. I had surgery to remove the affected nodes, and realised I couldn't just ignore it like I did last time. The approach I chose was the Gerson Therapy, which I did intensively for two years to make sure I was really clear.
So when I went back to the Marsden five years later (just to cover all bases), neither my doctors nor I were really expecting any melanoma to be showing up to account for my symptoms. I was CT scanned, and went back a few days later to get my results. I went alone, totally unprepared for the news I received.
I had tumours in my brain, lungs, spleen and stomach. I was expected to live around six months. I reeled out of the doctor's office, stumbled into a cab home, in a mixture of mute fear and hysterical mobile calls to friends. My life had changed dramatically in that rather abrupt meeting. It had been simplified down to one simple question: would I live or would I die? I was pretty quickly put onto 16mg per day of dexamethasone (steroids), and went away for Christmas to contemplate my next steps. My spiritual beliefs have always played a big role in my life, and the Christmas break included a spiritual retreat on the gorgeous Monterey coast, which provided a great opportunity to muster my inner resources and develop the self-belief and determination to do all I could to get better.
While I was away the steroids began to kick in. They were, for me, a horrific experience. I couldn't sleep. I was 'speedy'. But worst of all (for a vain creature like me!) I started to bloat. First of all you have a ravenous appetite and will eat anything. Secondly, everything swells up. I got a huge 'moon' face and felt very self-conscious.
The quest for the best treatment began shortly after my Christmas break. I enrolled friends in researching the Internet for melanoma treatments (there is SO much out there, and a lot of it is quite upsetting to read, so it's a great task to delegate). I ended up with a shortlist -the Gerson Therapy again; the Kelley-Gonzales enzymes approach and an American naturopathic clinic.
At the same time I was researching radiotherapy (the only possible allopathic treatment for brain tumours) and fighting with the doctors to try and get stereotactic radiotherapy (a finely focused beam onto the tumour) or submit to their suggestion of whole-brain radiotherapy. I was loath to have WBT because of fears of early Alzheimer's and brain damage that can result from it.
I opted for naturopathic treatment with a London based doctor. The hospital insisted I should have the whole-brain treatment.
As I prepared for the radiotherapy I kept getting setback after setback. First the Gerson people in Mexico told me that their therapy doesn't work very well with melanoma metastases to the brain. Then Gonzales also said they were unable to treat me. As you can imagine all of these were gut-wrenching disappointments. My determination to do everything I could to fight the disease was really tested.
In the end I opted for pretty much the only remaining option - naturopathic treatment with a London based doctor - Etienne Callebout. With hindsight and 14 months on, I know him to be quite an extraordinary man, and clearly a perfect choice. Back in February 2002 he seemed like the short straw.
In February I embarked on a course of radiotherapy to my brain, daily for two weeks with weekends off. It was easy, painless and took just a few minutes to be 'zapped'. Its side effects were not so pleasant. I could only walk like an old lady - very slowly. I felt sick. And my hair fell out. I was totally exhausted, would sleep in the day and evening then wake at 2am, ravenous. On a few occasions I was 'bonkers', which was really scary. I slept a lot in the day at that point, and if I awoke in the evening, I would talk complete gibberish to Stacey (my dear friend and live in helper) for ten minutes or so, get furious with her because she didn't understand me, and gradually come back to being rational. That was a very frightening experience, for both of us.
A few weeks after the treatment finished I got the results - they were not good Apart from the radiotherapy, the Marsden could offer me no treatment for the body tumours that had any decent chance of success. There were some chemotherapy agents, but with such low effectiveness that even my doctor told me not to bother. So everything at this point rested on the success of the radiotherapy. A few weeks after the treatment finished I got the results. They were not good. According to the scans, the tumours had not responded.
That was a tough meeting. You always know when it's bad news by the look on the doctor's face the minute they come in the room. The good ones deliver bad news with compassion and empathy. The bad ones either overdo the phoney caring or don't even try.
I had a good doctor for this bit, luckily. Hugo Ford - a genuinely compassionate man. I had two close friends with me, Stacey and Bindy. When we got the news we all had the reaction of hysterical laughter. It was quite extraordinary. I'd heard of this as a response to bad news, but to experience it was quite bizarre. We laughed like drains all the way home. Which, I suppose, gave my system time to take the news in and adjust to the likelihood that I would die, seeing as the only treatment had in fact failed.
Emotionally this whole time was very different to anything I would have imagined. I felt very strong. I felt incredibly supported. Friends wrote, visited, including four friends who separately travelled from the US to spend time with me. People gave me money. And Stacey, my friend and lodger, chose to spend the time taking care of me. I felt very spiritually connected and supported. I was brought up a Christian and felt a very intimate source of support from Jesus. My mother wrote to dozens of contemplative Anglican orders and asked the nuns to pray for me. The esoteric church I belong to also provided huge energetic assistance. I really felt Grace was extended to me in a big way. I had a new sense of serenity. It was as though all the areas I normally obsess about - money, men, work, was I good enough, was I pretty enough, was I clever enough - they all seemed to wither away in the face of this huge challenge - will I live or will I die? I actually felt very happy, despite the physical difficulties I was undergoing.
Regardless of the bad radiotherapy result, I knew I couldn't give up, and I began Dr Callebout's regime a month or so after radiotherapy ended. He is a qualified medical doctor, homeopath and specialist in alternative treatments for cancer. He admitted he hadn't treated anyone with my level of cancer before but said he would give it a go. I signed up for the whole shebang.
My regime consisted of a combination of diet, juices, coffee enemas and a high level of supplementation. The diet is based on as much organic produce as possible, and excludes anything processed, sugar, dairy and wheat, tea, coffee and alcohol. I was allowed protein in the form of organic chicken or fish, but it could only be consumed at lunchtime and no later in the day. I consume six 8oz juices a day (I do them in three lots of doubles), and these are either carrot and apple or a mixture of lettuce, watercress, parsley, green pepper, chard, red cabbage and apple.
The most difficult thing is the timing. I have 122 pills a day which all have to be taken at specific times. Timing it all is a real task and luckily my friend and helper, Stacey, is very organised and methodical. I have 122 pills a day which all have to be taken at specific times Going out at all is difficult to manage but do-able. During the last year I haven't been able to work so was able to devote myself full time to the regime. Now, as a freelancer, I am doing some small bits of work, and adapting the regime to fit in. I haven't found the programme too difficult, to be honest, which is strange considering my natural inclination to choose chocolate over carrot whenever possible.
But because the stakes were so high, I was prepared to do whatever was necessary, including odd physical treatments like Epsom salt baths, castor oil rubs, footbaths of mustard and cayenne pepper with ice packs and hot water bottles on various parts of my body. It sounds so wacky but each thing has a valid and understandable function, so I did it all. And the coffee enemas are great - total privacy three times a day, perfect for reading and just escaping!
As for the tablets it is not a regime to be copied as everything was specially selected by my doctor for my particular cancer and symptoms. His philosophy for me was one of detoxification of the system, excellent nutrition and supplementation to boost immune response, plus the metabolic therapy of B-17 (Iaetrile) and enzymes which break down the turn ours.
It was a tough regime, but it felt great to be the one responsible for my own well being. The sense of empowerment far outweighed the hassle of what was physically involved. But best of all, it worked. I had a CT scan around four months later which showed that all the tumours had either reduced significantly or disappeared altogether. The hospital took credit for the brain tumours (radiotherapy effects often take a while to kick in and they claim the previous scan was done too early to show a true result), but they were flabbergasted by the reduction in the other areas where I had had NO conventional treatment. They were surprised, but did not ask me in any detail exactly how this had been achieved. The term 'spontaneous remission" was used - which I have since learned is a commonly heard blanket term frequently used by doctors for any improvement not caused by conventional medical treatment!
I continued working on my spontaneous remission' for a further seven months, and my last scan, in November 2002 showed that everything had gone, bar a small abnormality in my spleen. As I write in March 2003, I still have some cancer cells in my system, and I am working to be rid of every single cell. I am continuing on my rigorous regime, but am slowly edging back into the world. I take powders to mix with bottled apple juice when I go out, and sometimes I miss an enema here or there. And I do have the odd bit of 'forbidden' food. I think I would go crazy otherwise. I am still overweight from the steroids and a year on the sofa, my hair is definitely on the thin side in places, and my old life which involved facilitating with groups all over the world, now seems highly daunting.
But I am here. And I am grateful.
NATURAL CANCER CURE
The following is a look at other ways you can defeat cancer. Although I know Im in good hands at my treatment centre RPA, NSW, Australia. I still believe that having a healthy lifestyle is the key.
By Dr. Jerry Lee Hoover N.D.
Cancer is a uniquely western problem. One out of three Americans die of cancer, it used to be one out of four. People in China, Japan and Southeast Asia seldom have cancer. Yet in North America, Australia, New Zealand and affluent countries in Europe cancer is epidemic.
WHY? FAULTY DIET IS A MAJOR CAUSE
In 1979 a special report was issued by the U.S. Surgeon General, citing more than 2,000 scientific studies from around the world, and compiled with the advice of more than 2,000 doctors, nutritionist and biochemists, who concluded that the normal American diet is dangerous. Of the 2.1 million Americans who died that year, the report said that 1.5 million died from diseases associated with diet. The report stressed that most people should reduce the consumption of fat, especially saturated fats, such as from eggs, butter, or untrimmed red meats. (1)
Researchers at the University of Victoria in British Columbia did a careful follow up on 200 persons who underwent a "spontaneous remission of cancer". They found that 87% of those persons had switched diets, usually to a vegetarian diet.
Recently a link between excessive meat eating and cancer has been explained by Dr. Williard J. Visek a research scientist at Cornell University. The problem, according to Dr. Visek, is ammonia the carcinogenic by-product of meat digestion.
Although cancer is increasing at an alarming rate and it can be prevented, by keeping our body’s immune system up. Much poisoning of the body has been caused by the use of improper foods, such as meat, dairy products, white sugar, white flour, white rice, along with the use of liquor, tobacco, coffee, soda and all other denatured foods. Good wholesome food builds good blood, where as unwholesome foods builds a poor quality of blood. Cancer will not develop where there is a pure blood stream and the body’s immune system is functioning at its optimum.
For years the National Cancer Institute held fast to the principal that diet had nothing to do with cancer. Recent overwhelming evidence has forced them to change their mind. They now even recommend that one consume certain fruits and vegetables in order to prevent cancer. “Fruits, such as oranges and bananas, and leafy green and yellow vegetables, including carrots and broccoli, all contain cancer preventing vitamins and fiber, and should be a part of everyone’s daily diet”, says the National Cancer Institute.
To prevent and cure cancer we must keep our body’s immune system high. This is done by following eight simple rules that I will briefly cover here. Lots of fresh air, using lots of pure water, eating lots of wholesome natural foods, getting sufficient rest, moderate daily exercise, being temperate in all we eat and do and having faith in God.
Every one of us has cancer cells within us. Cancer has to be treated by building the body’s immune system then the body’s white blood cells, etc. will attack and destroy the cancer from within. Cancer cells are weaker than normal cells and will not get out of control if our immune system is high.
HOW DO WE FIGHT CANCER
There is no one drug, herb, or treatment that will kill cancer. Cancer has to be treated by building the body’s immune system. Listed here are some natural ways to help build the immune system.
ELIMINATE SUGAR AND JUNK FOODS
Eating white sugar will paralyze and hinder your white blood cells from fighting off an infection. Eating 25 teaspoons of sugar will paralyze 92% of your white blood cells for approximately five hours. The average American eats over 42 teaspoons of sugar per day. For example: A banana split has 24 teaspoons of sugar. A 12 oz coke has approx. 8-10 teaspoons, a piece of white bread 2 teaspoons. It must be remembered that sugar or empty calories and junk foods interfere with the working of the body’s immune system.
ELIMINATE HIGH FAT DIET
Diets high in refined fats have long been associated with increased cancer risk. Breast cancer is more frequent in women on diets high in both saturated fats, (whole milk), and in animal fat. (2) A low fat diet not only prevents breast cancer but increases the survival of women who already have breast cancer. (3)
EAT A TOTALLY RAW DIET
This is or will be the hardest single thing to follow, but it is very important. Only raw fruits, vegetables, nuts and sprouted grains are what you will be eating until your cancer is in remission. Nothing cooked, no cooked beans, bread, potatoes, etc. Sounds tough, but let me tell you this is much easier then taking chemotherapy and having your hair fall out, vomiting, being weak, etc. And , of course chemotherapy will not build up your immune system. Instead it will tear it down. Raw food is live food and possesses the highest nutritive value. It is full of vitamins, mineral, enzymes, phytochemicals, etc. Cooked food is dead food, plant any seed and it will grow. Cook the seed and then plant it and it will not grow, because it’s life principle has been destroyed. Place cancer cells in a cooked media and they will proliferate. Now place the cancer cells in a raw matter and they will disappear! This astounding fact is known to the Cancer society, but the public was never informed. (4)
HERE ARE SOME RAW FOOD RECIPES
I have asked Mirko to put together some raw food recipes for those who need to be on a raw food diet. Here are just a few of his recipes. If you would like more you can E-mail him at Albrecht71-Albrecht@web.de
Raw Foods Recipes can be Tasty and Delicious
By Creator for Functional Food, Mirko Albrecht, Dipl.-qualified NC.
The base of preparation to “Functional Food” is very simple.
A recipe must be tasty, but for me a recipe is more than that. Functional Food are recipes
with some "healing" effects but tasty and delicious as well.
The possible benefits of natural Functional Food can be:
- Natural immune support to help fight cancer.
- Stress-Relief, esp. chronic stress
- Detoxification-support
- Improve the liver function
- Provide the body with vitamins, minerals, enzymes etc.
- Supporting to natural acid-alkaline balance
Our world has many "Healthy Foods" we must just only discover them and with a bit of
fantasy we can prepare delicious meals such as dips for vegetables or fruits sticks, sweet
desserts.
Preparation for raw nut flour
You can have your own fresh and raw almonds/nuts flour/powder without any other
ingredients any time you want.
You grind up just nuts f.e. almonds with a grind mill or coffee mill by electricity or manual
operation. For some recipes you may add chopped/shredded nuts as well. Then blend all ingredients in
a powerful blender/food-processor.
Some Variations for Vegetable Dips
Mix all ingredients for a dip together in a blender. Add little salt to taste. Then cut raw
vegetables in sticks f.e. carrot, fennel, cucumber, tomato or vegetables of choice. Now dip
these vegetables in it and eat them.
These dips you may add as salad dressing as well.
Vegetable Dip with fresh Parsley
- ¼ to ½ Avocado
- ½ to ¾ cup water
- 1 tsp. fine chopped onion of any kind (f.e. scallion, shallot, leek etc.)
- 2 to 3 tsp. chopped parsley
- Instead parsley, you can add chives, lemon balm, basil or sprouts of choice.
Vegetable Dip with Tomato
Mix tomato, water, nuts and avocado in a blender together. Then add onion, celery and salt
to taste.
- 1 to 2 tomatoes
- ¼ avocado
- 10 raw cashews, macadamia or almonds (chopped)
- 1 tsp. fine chopped onion of any kind
- 2 to 3 tsp. fine chopped celery
- ½ to ¾ cup water
- salt
Some Variations for Fruit Dips
Mix all ingredients together in the blender. Instead almond flour, you can add raw flour of
cashews, macadamia, hazelnut or walnut. But almonds are alkaline.
Then cut raw fruits f.e. apple, strawberry, mango or any kind of fruits in halves or sticks and
dip these in it and eat.
These dips you may use as sauce in some fruit salads as well. Or you can add more water or
nut milk in the dip and you have a Smoothie to drink.
Papaya Dip
Possible Fruit Variations: If you would like you can ½ to 1 mango, 2 peaches or 4 apricots as
well instead of papaya.
- 1 to 2 thick slices papaya
- ½ orange
- 3 tsp. coconut (fine shredded/flakes)
- A few drops lemon juice (limes or grapefruit juice as well)
- Add very little water when mixture is too thick.
Banana Cocos Dip
Possible Fruit Variations: If you have interest, you can add dried fruits such as 1 tsp. raisins
(unsulphured), 2 dried apricots, unsulphured (fine chopped) or 2 dried figs, unsulphured (fine
chopped).
- ½ to 1 banana
- 3 to 6 tsp. almond flour
- 1 to 2 tsp. coconut (fine shredded/flakes)
- ¼ to ½ cup or more water
- a few drops lemon juice (must not be, but you can add juice of Grapefruit or limes as
well)
Apple-Raisin-Almond Dip
- 1 little apple
- 2 to 3 tsp. raisins (or a couple of dried apricots or fresh grape)
- ½ cup water
- 4 to 6 tsp. raw almond flour or nuts of choice f.e. cashews, hazelnut

Vegetable Smoothies
Mix all ingredients together in a blender. Add a little salt to taste and then drink.
Vegetable Smoothie Base
- 2 tomatoes (diced)
- 1 tsp. onion of any kind (fine chopped)
- 4 to 5 tsp. chopped sprouts of choice or celery
- 2 to 3 cups water and a little salt
You can add also to these vegetable Smoothie base further chopped or fine shredded
ingredients (with vegetable grater) carrot, paprika, young spinach or/and some culinary herbs
such as parsley, chives, basil, lemon balm, garlic, wild garlic leaf etc. red beet, fennel.
Fruit-Smoothie
A simple base is, if you mix in the blender/food processor one fresh sweet fruit with water.
You can also add more different type of fruits together f.e. banana and orange
or coco flakes. Or take instead of water nut milk of choice. Or add a combination of fresh
fruits and dried fruits f.e. raisins (unsulphured). Have fantasy for new creations!
Apple-Smoothie
- ½ apple
- 1 to 2 tsp. raisins (unsulphured) or 10 or more fresh grapes
- a few drops lemon juice or 1 slice lemon
- 2 to 3 cups water
Papaya-Smoothie
- ¼ papaya
- 2 to 3 cups water
- ½ orange
Banana Smoothie
- ½ to 1 banana
- 3 cups water
- 1 to 2 tsp. coconut flakes/fine shredded
Banana-Cream-Dessert
Lay 2 ripe bananas (cut long side) in a dish form on the top of it the ½ orange (fine diced).
Then our fruit cream on the top. If you want, add 2 to 3 tsp. chopped nuts of
choice, on top of it. Put our Banana-Cream-Dessert in the refrigerator. It tastes very good after 1 hour.
Cream-Base:
Mix all ingredients in a blender together. ½ banana, ½ orange, ¾ cup of water, and 6
tsp. raw almond flour. If you have interest, you may add a pinch/trace of vanilla. Alternate to
raw almond flour, may be hazelnut, walnut, cashews or macadamia as well.
Nut Milk (Homemade)
I add nut milk as base for Ice Cream, fruit salad, vegetable salad, desserts/puddings or for
Smoothies.
The preparation is easy. Add 1 to 2 cup water and 6 to 9 tsp. raw nut flour/coconut shredded.
This nut milk is made by soaking the nuts flour at least 4 hours or overnight, then blending
them.
STRAWBERRY BANANA SMOOTHIE
Cut up one banana and add two cups of water, fresh or frozen strawberries in a Blender. Add a pinch of vanilla and blend.
ALMOND MILK
Soak a cup of almonds over night in 3 cups of water. Add a blend in a Blender.
SPROUTING GRAINS OR SEEDS
You can get all the information on sprouting by going to www.google.com and write in sprouting foods. Sprouted foods are the freshest and most nutritious of all. They are full of enzymes, and a higher percentage of vitamins and minerals and they are raw.
WHEAT GRASS JUICE
Wheat Grass juice is the very best for cancer. You take some soil put it on a flat pan and plant wheat on it, keep it watered and in a few days you will have wheat grass. Then cut the grass put it in the blender with some water and blend it all up then strain it and drink it, it will be sweet. You can let the grass grow again and give it a second cutting, after that you need to start all over again with new wheat. Many people think you need to buy a special juicer which causes the juice to be to concentrated and hard to drink, all you need is a blender.
DO NOT EAT BETWEEN MEALS
A Swedish study indicated the frequency of snack eating may be related to the risk of colon cancer. Earlier, largely ignored studies have suggested that each eating episode over the course of the day increases colon cancer risk. Regular meal intake did not seem to produce the same risk as did snack consumption. (Cancer Causes and Control3: 77-81,1992)
DRINK ONE TO THREE GLASSES OF CARROT JUICE DAILY
Carrots are a very good source of Vitamin A, and the juice should be taken 15-30 minutes before your vegetable meal. A recent study done by Dr. Raymond J. Shamberger, Professor of the Dept. of Biochemistry, the Cleveland Clinic, Ohio, showed that Vitamin A is one of the most important aids
![]() |
to the body’s defense system fighting and preventing cancer. When subjected to carcinogens, this vitamin has a remarkable ability to inhibit the introduction and or retard the growth of both malignant and non-malignant tumors.
DRINK PLENTY OF PURE SOFT WATER
How much is plenty? It depends upon how much you weigh, you take your weight, divide it in half and that is how many ounces of water you need in a 24 hour period. Of course if you are working out in the hot sun and perspiring a lot you would need more. For example: you weigh 160 lbs. Half of that is 80 so you need 80 ounces, which would be 10 eight ounce glasses. The type of water we need to drink is soft water, that is water that has no minerals, as the minerals in water are inorganic and are harmful to our health. Where as the minerals in food are organic and our body needs this type of minerals. Two types of water that have no minerals are distilled water and reverse-osmosis water.
BARE FEET ON THE SOIL EVERY DAY
Everything on this earth has an electrical frequency, the earth, the seeds, the plants animals, and the human body. Cancer cells have a different electrical frequency than normal cells. Our bodies can easily get off the electrical frequency that they are supposed to be on. How can we get it back on track? Very simply, by standing or walking bare foot in the soil. Wearing shoes is not a natural thing, although we need to protect our feet, as shoes insulate our body from the earth so it would be good to spend at least 10 minutes a day outside barefoot in the soil.
GET PLENTY OF FRESH AIR
Deep breathing of fresh outside negatively charged air, (the good kind), helps cleanse the lungs and increase circulation. Fresh air from the ocean, near a river or waterfall or after a rainstorm is not only negatively charged but is high in oxygen which is very beneficial for cancer. Be sure to have plenty of fresh air in your bedroom as you sleep, keep a window open, even in the winter the window should be partially open. A fact worth knowing is that cancer cells cannot live in the presence of oxygen. (6)
EXERCISE OUT OF DOORS
Brisk walking, no jogging, from one to five miles a day is excellent exercise. If you do not have the strength, start slowly and gradually increase the distance. Exercise outside is 10 times more beneficial then indoors. When exercising inside you do not receive the suns rays or the pure fresh air. Working out in a gym is like working out in a smelly tennis shoe.
GET 7-8 HOURS SLEEP EVERY NIGHT
The earlier you go to bed the better. Every hour of sleep before midnight is worth two hours, every hour after midnight is worth one.
USE HERBS TAKE NO SUPPLEMENTS OF ANY KIND
There are many herbs for cancer, but the one I highly recommend is Red Clover. You use only the flower, not the stem or roots. Red clover contains the following chemicals: biotin, choline, copper, coumarins, glycosides, inositol, magnesium, manganese, and selenium. It also contains vitamins: A, B1, B3, B5, B6, B9, B12, B17, C, P and the mineral Zinc. This is quite an assortment of minerals and vitamins for one herb. And possibly in the future we will discover it contains other important ingredients. Red Clover has been used in America for over 100 years to treat and prevent cancer. It is good for cancer on any part of the body. I have personally used it for many years at my clinic and have seen many individuals recover from cancer.
Use only the bulk red clover flowers, not the stem or roots, use no red clover capsules. Make a tea by bringing the water to a boil, removing from the heat and adding the herb. Let it steep for 20 minutes or longer. Use one to two teaspoons of herb per cup of tea. The best time to take the tea is at night before bed on an empty stomach. If you take it twice a day then also first thing in the morning when you first get up on an empty stomach.
You can order the herb Red Clover from Frontier Herbs Phone 1-800-669-3275 or on line at www.frontierherbs.com
Red Clover is now being studied for anti-aids and anti-diabetic activity. (7)
Many of you who have contacted me have mentioned that you were unable to purchase the herb Red Clover as it does not grow in your country. If that case I suggest you go to a reliable herbalist in your country and find out what herb he uses for cancer and use it. As there are many herbs for cancer as God in His wisdom made many different herbs for the many different countries He created.
LEARN TO DEAL WITH STRESS
Almost everyone I have personally known, who has come down with cancer, has been under a lot of stress prior to getting cancer. We must learn to take the problems we cannot handle to God, (The Greatest Healer Of All Time). We cannot hold anger, hate, selfishness, etc. inside ourselves or we will not recover. The mind greatly affects the body. I believe that 90% of all sickness starts in the mind. King Solomon, the wisest man who ever lived said, “A merry heart doeth good like a medicine”, Proverbs 17:22
WHAT CANCER CAN'T DO
It cannot cripple love,
It cannot shatter hope,
It cannot corrode faith,
It cannot eat away at peace,
It cannot destroy confidence,
It cannot kill friendship,
It cannot shut out memories,
It cannot silence courage,
It cannot evade the soul.
It cannot reduce eternal life,
Yours For Better Health,

Mary Ellen's story: recovery from stage IV metastatic melanoma
The first time we discovered Mary Ellen had cancer was in 2000. A dermatologist excised a large oval 2"x2" of tissue out of her right lower leg and sent it for biopsy. He told her he was sure it was melanoma, and it was. The report came back "Malignant melanoma, dirty border," meaning melanoma cells were found on one border. But which one? The doctor failed to mark the specimen.
From my own dental school classes on pathology I recalled that the cure rate on melanomas was pretty dismal. She wasn't at Stage IV, but stage IV had a cure rate thirty years ago of one in two hundred. It is pretty close to that now unless it is localized to the limbs. Problem is, when you see cancer in higher stages it is already moving through the lymphatic system, and the surgeon can insist he "got it all," but he probably did not. I had two uncles die from colon cancers after the surgeons "got it all" when they operated. I do not know whether her original melanoma was stage I or stage II, but even at the original stage when she was first diagnosed her doctor was concerned for her life.
She was referred to a surgeon to have a larger excision. Mary Ellen is a Christian and was not afraid of dying. She sought the Lord in prayer and received peace about the second surgery. Also, through prayer, she was given direction to change her diet. A friend had told her about the "Hallelujah" diet, so she did some research and decided to do that diet to help her body to begin fighting the disease through good nutrition. The surgeon removed a huge patch of tissue large enough to place two golf balls in. He could not graft the tissue, so the huge surgical wound was dressed and left open. I cleaned and re-dressed the wound daily for about six weeks or longer. She healed quite rapidly. Finally, the surgeon asked her what in the world she was doing to heal so fast. She told him she had gone on the Hallelujah Diet (www.hacres.com) the moment the first biopsy indicated cancer and that on that diet she was consuming from six to eight glasses of fresh carrot juice daily and eating only fresh fruits and vegetables. She assumed that the high nutrition had something to do with the rapid healing.
Even though the pathology report on that huge patch of tissue came back negative, the surgeon said melanoma is a very aggressive cancer. He warned that the border could still have melanoma cells--he did not trust melanoma. Well, about six months later his fear was realized. One dark bump appeared on the back of her ankle. She accidentally shaved it off one morning. The next day it was back, hale and hearty. She happened to have a post surgical appointment with the surgeon the next day, so she asked him to look at it for her. He said it just looked like a mole to him, and that he didn't think she had anything to worry about. But she was still worried and made an appointment with the dermatologist who had removed the first melanoma. He looked at it and concurred with the local surgeon that it just looked like a mole to him, too. She asked him to biopsy it. He did, and before the biopsy report came back two weeks later she had about ten new melanomas in a cluster across the back of her ankle.
With the picture more complicated now, she was sent to Emory University Hospital Clinic to see a dermatological oncologist for a consultation. The oncologist gave her about seven options of ways to treat the melanomas. His recommendation was to simply burn them off with electrocautery. After the surgery she was scheduled for a two week follow-up. By the time she went back she had about fifteen new melanomas in the area. His recommendation was to continue to have them burned off.
By this time she was about six months into this cancer. She was on the Hallelujah Diet, an excellent health diet, but it obviously was not curing her cancer. She contacted the people at Hallelujah Acres and they recommended that she go to the Oasis of Hope Hospital in Tijuana, Mexico, and try their "alternative therapy."
It was nothing short of a great experience. The doctors were the best we had ever experienced. The facility was actually enjoyable. The atmosphere was quite hopeful. The food was all organic and all on the Hallelujah Diet. It was gourmet dining at its best. Mary Ellen had a porta-cath placed in her chest and underwent several different types of experimental cancer therapies.
The therapies failed to cure any cancers, or even to stop their multiplication. The one thing it did seem to do, however, was to keep the lesions from invading the fatty tissues beneath the skin. Three weeks of intense therapy followed by an intense home therapy using the porta-cath as an injection site for laetrile didn't work. Complications followed an experimental mega-dose of vitamin A, and things got worse when Mary Ellen was literally forced to go on steroid therapy for a serious problem with ascites, a fluid build up usually associated with cancer. The doctors denied that the vitamin A caused the ascites. Well, steroids cause cancers to literally run wild, regardless of other considerations, and hers did run wild, rampantly multiplying the recurrent cancers on her right lower leg. Her surgeon was removing numerous lesions every other month. At one point he suggested she have her leg amputated, he said that was what he would do. Mary Ellen had no peace about doing that and politely turned down the offer.
Now Mary Ellen is not a quitter. She never flags in her faith in God. Through this whole ordeal I would say I only saw her even show discouragement maybe twice--once for a whole day and once for four or five hours. Her strong faith makes her an "up" person. If she had gone down, she would have gone down with complete faith in God and probably with an "up" disposition all the way. She didn't have faith in a false hope, but she had faith that God was in control even in bad times, and that He makes no mistakes. We may not know what God is doing, but He does, and we can trust him even in the type of death he has planned for us--and I believe He has a death planned for each of us! She believed this was not the "sickness unto death" for her. Since she is not a quitter, she found a physician who practices alternative medicine. He suggested she try a cancer vaccine. I gave her the injections as directed twice a week for about three months, after which we had the remaining thirty or so melanomas burned off her leg. She had now had about five hundred melanomas removed in all.
And that was that. Or so we thought. She stayed on the Hallelujah Diet, she kept drinking carrot juice and "green" juice, and everything was just fine until a couple of years later when she started getting off the Hallelujah Diet. She started eating organic cheese pizzas, deep sea fish and organic eggs. In August 2005 she found a new problem, but this time not on her skin. It was a large lump inside her right thigh. When she asked me to palpate it, I knew immediately it was metastatic melanoma. We scheduled surgery right away to get the definitive pathology report. Mary Ellen went back on the real Hallelujah Diet and the six to eight glasses of organic carrot juice immediately. The pathology report came back two weeks later, confirming that it was now stage IVA malignant melanoma, with a cure rate of about one in two hundred in America, as I have said.
I had been doing a lot of reading up on cancer since her stay at the Oasis of Hope Hospital in 2001. While she was there I purchased a book entitled A Cancer Therapy: Results of Fifty Cases, by Dr. Max Gerson, published first in 1958. We had met several patients at the Oasis of Hope who were on that therapy for their cancers. At that time the Gerson Clinic was occupying a wing of the Oasis of Hope. We were interested in the Gerson patients' therapy, too. When we arrived back home, I read the Gerson book very carefully. I was amazed at the genius of Dr. Gerson. I was also amazed that the American medical establishment had effectively forbidden any American physicians from curing cancer the Gerson way. The Gerson cure rates are much higher than the standard American cure rates, and the cost of curing a cancer the Gerson way is less than one-tenth the cost of curing one the American way (contrary to what you will read on the internet, written by "informed" investigators). Most patients feel literally wonderful almost all the time--they feel really good except for a few predictable spells when they are going through what Gerson called "a healing crisis." If you never had a healing crisis, it probably meant you were going to die from your cancer, so bring it on! Dr. Gerson even had special ways to minimize the discomfort of a healing crisis.
So without a second thought we scheduled two weeks at the current Gerson Therapy facility in Tijuana, Mexico to learn to do it correctly at home. You follow the directions precisely or you die from your cancer. So you do not entertain the thought of changing even a tiny part of the program. It is very, very strict. Dr. Gerson poured thousands of hours into research to refine his treatment. It won't cure all cancers, but, for example, the cure rate for stage IVA melanoma in the USA is about 1/2 percent. With the Gerson Therapy the cure rate for stage IVA melanoma is 40 percent. That is a factor of 80 times higher cure rate, but the American Medical Association has covered up their blackballing of Dr. Gerson and his treatment for many years, even until today. I have checked their web site. Don't believe anything you read from the AMA about Gerson, because the AMA is still in a cover-up mode, I am sorry to say.
We spent two amazing weeks at the Mexican Gerson clinic. We were trained in the Gerson Therapy by the best of the best! The physicians were amazing. They seemed to know what was going on with you before they asked! The staff was simply great! The kitchen staff excelled! The meals were the best we have ever had! The seminars were very instructive, and they were all open seminars, so we could ask questions. The other patients, all with essentially death sentences pronounced by so-called traditional physicians, were in the best of spirits. They were now being offered a shot at not only making it, but making it big. The two weeks we spent there were two of the most memorable weeks of our lives. One of the highlights of our two weeks was meeting Charlotte Gerson, enjoying a meal with her, and having her spend an hour just visiting with Mary Ellen in our suite. And we could see improvements in Mary Ellen's melanomas in just two weeks! Two of the smaller ones simply disappeared while we were there--a minor miracle!
For two years Mary Ellen strictly followed the therapy. She had blood work and other medical tests done once a month, faxed the results to the clinic in Tijuana, set up telephone consultations with her physician, and tweaked her therapy at her physician's directions. We had thought she would need to go to Mexico periodically and be checked, but it was not necessary. The Gerson Therapy works so well when it works, that she just needed to keep tweaking the therapy for consistently improving results, and that was all.
If the liver has been exhausted in its capacity to heal, no therapy can heal. Chemotherapy trashes the liver, so the Gerson center really frowns upon chemotherapy. Although the Gerson Therapy can still heal many people who have had chemotherapy, it takes a lot longer than two years to do so. And if there is not sufficient liver reserve left, the patient will not make it. Radiation therapy and surgery are two modes that Dr. Gerson allowed, although with his therapy they often are not needed. We were thankful that Mary Ellen had not had any traditional cancer therapies that would have interfered with her healing.
Mary Ellen completed her two years of therapy in early September, 2007. All tests are negative for cancer now, and have been since about nine months into the therapy. We saved two things by healing the Gerson way: (1) we saved about $250,000 to $500,000 in actual cost of treatment, and (2) we saved Mary Ellen's life.
I recommend purchasing two books on the Gerson web site, www.gerson.org. The first is a wonderful and well written biography of Dr. Gerson by his grandson, Howard Straus, titled Dr. Max Gerson: Healing the Hopeless. The second is the recently released book by Charlotte Gerson with Beata Bishop, Healing the Gerson Way: Defeating Cancer and Other Chronic Diseases. I ordered and read every back issue of their bi-monthly publication, the Gerson Healing Newsletter. The amazing complete recoveries chronicled in the Newsletter are certainly inspirational, to say the least. I recommend subscribing to that also at their web site. For medically trained folks, Dr. Max Gerson's 1958 book A Cancer Therapy, Results of Fifty Cases & The Cure of Advanced Cancer by Diet Therapy is a must read. It contains pre- and post-treatment radiographs of fifty random cases of cancers cured by his diet therapy. Many of the cases were followed for decades. The cures were not remissions, by the way. They were cures.
Charlotte Gerson and Beata Bishop's newest book (above) is an awesome compilation of how to cure cancer. I just finished my second reading of it. A really determined person could use it as a "cook book" for self treatment, as it gives exact instructions for the entire two years of intensive therapy, with complete discussions of even the lab tests needed along the way as well as explanations of why this and why not that. But I really would suggest going to a Gerson clinic and spending two to three luxurious weeks being indoctrinated into the Gerson lifestyle--emphasis on LIFE style! It looks costly to some, but in retrospect I would say Mary Ellen's life was worth every penny of it and a hundred times more!
Interested readers are invited to correspond with Bob and Mary Ellen by email or by calling. If you call, please remember that they reside in the Eastern Time Zone and generally retire around 9 P.M.
